说到博山的“炉神庙古道”，那就不得不说说炉神庙了。

纵览古今中外，一个城市的形成与发展，总也离不开水源。灵泉庙一带涌出的水流，吸引先民们在附近居住下来，逐步形成了早期的城镇，并且一步步发展壮大。然而，并不是所有水源充足的地方都能发展成为一座城市。颜神镇的发展壮大有着更加具体、更加特殊的原因。颜神镇四面环山，自古地寡土瘠民贫。最早的时候地广人稀，随着人口的繁衍，吃饭就越来越成问题。生活在农业社会却填不饱肚子，颜神人便把目光转向了农业以外的领域，以寻求维持生活的途径。于是，颜神人透过瘠薄的土地，发现了地表下的宝藏。　孝妇河东源的西河、黑山、万山、山头、福山、八陡、石炭坞等地，其南山为奥陶纪灰岩山体，北部则为二叠纪砂岩山体，中部峡谷地带正是石炭纪煤系地层，这里除了蕴藏着丰富的煤炭资源外，而且还埋藏着铁、铅、红土、陶土、黏土、铝矾土、焦宝石品种繁多底下宝藏，蕴藏丰富，正可做为土地贫瘠的重要补充。

所以博山窑业的发展与煤炭发展最为密切，靠近煤层的黏土是形成陶瓷坯胎的主要原料，煤炭又是陶瓷烧成工序的便捷燃料，二者形成了相互促进、水乳相融的关系。20世纪发现的大街古窑遗址以及北岭窑神庙残碑，证明至少在宋代，颜神人已经开始烧制陶瓷，并且已用煤炭烧窑。煤炭用于烧制陶瓷，这无疑是淄博古陶瓷业一次质的飞跃，它促进了瓷质、色泽上的大幅度提高和烧制成本的大幅度下降。由于颜神陶瓷具备价格低廉、质地坚硬、品种齐全等优点，不仅占据了山东地区的农村市场，而且远销黄河流域其他省份和关外，为后来淄博成为中国著名陶瓷产区奠定了基础。

随后，琉璃产业也逐步发展起来，生产作坊大多在西冶街一带，产品有珠子、珠帘、屏风、棋子、枕顶、灯壶、灯盖、灯罩烟嘴、鼻烟壶及各类玩具、零星器物，品种繁多，琳琅满目。如今，博山百货大楼孝妇河西岸，印有深深的车辙的那座高埠上，还有一座炉神庙遗址，庙院为正方形，长宽约10米，庙门为联拢式建筑，正院有前出厦的大殿间，上面覆盖着琉璃瓦和五脊六兽，殿内雕梁画栋，上面的金碧绘画依稀可辨。这座始建于明代的炉神庙，近年以来一直作为博山琉璃业的象征，它的兴衰反映了琉璃业的枯荣。明万历三十九年（公元1611年），在博山琉璃业已有很大规模的情况下，由炉行中人徐应元首发倡议，并且征得炉行著名士绅孙延寿的支持，集资创建了这座炉神庙。初建时规模很小，只有间殿堂，供奉女娲，以女娲炼五彩石补天，琉璃业也炼五彩石为业之意，把女娲认做炉行的祖师，庙名为“祖师炉神庙”。万历四十六年，以孙延寿、房宗义、徐应元人结成“炉行醮会”规定每年三月初三为祭祀祖师的日子。这一天全行业停产搞纪念活动，炉工们可以在炉神庙中饮酒作乐，欢度节日，各类商贩也都往这里汇集，逐渐形成了博山地区的三月三炉神庙会。咸丰二年（公元1852年），炉行再次修葺炉神庙，并且在庙南隅修筑高堰，在上面建造一亭，后世称为“团瓢”。此亭位于博山制高点，登亭可俯瞰博山城，万千风景尽收眼底。可惜此亭已经被拆除。至咸丰十一年（公元1861年），捻军攻入博山，炉神庙受到一定的损害，同治十二年（公元1873年）又一次重修，并加塑一座火帝神像，反映了“熔炼之功莫大于火”、“火帝之功不可不报”的炉行思想观念。光绪二十八年（公元1902年）腊月，炉神庙又成了维系内部团结、体现集体意志的重要场所。炉行公众上千人痛打候补道员赵尔萃，捣毁了企图垄断炉行的“琉璃公司”。事发之前，炉行领袖在炉神庙鸣锣聚众，事发之后又在炉神庙内多次开会，商量对策。在这一事件中，青州知府冯如骙站在炉行一边，为他们仗义执言，事后炉工们把炉神庙北厅辟为冯如骙的生祠，四时香火不断。民国以后，炉神庙曾经辟为学校，后为“炉业公所”，庙中住着一位法号“大惠”的和尚，常有社会上层人物和富户到这里聚饮。炉神庙会在这一时期分为大炉、小炉，三月三仍然是大炉业主的庙会，而经营小炉的贫苦炉工的庙会被改成了二月初二。解放后炉神庙里住过华东印刷厂、淄博工人报社等机关，并一度成为博山公园路小学的校舍，于八十年代末期恢复成炉神庙，近期复重新修缮，建成琉璃园。（博山区情考）

这就是炉神庙前面的这条古道的来历了，这条古道不仅连接着徐关古道（磁村、徐雅、颜神）和青石关的瓮口古道。还有一条通向风门道关一带的古道，这条古道因大多沿山间穿越，道路狭窄，不便车马畜驮等通行，只能以肩挑、手提等方式在古道上行走，因此被称为“赶集道”。

第一次听说这地方，长见识了，中国还是有很多小县城不错的
